Approach

Each search is typically divided into the following phases:

Discovery/Needs Analysis

  • Understand the culture of client’s organization through extensive meetings/discussions with key staff members, Board members and stakeholders

  • Develop the position description

Qualifications/Evaluation

  • Identify qualified candidates through targeted research, database review, and direct sourcing with executives in the field, as well as internally generated candidates — all with a focus on diversity

  • Interview candidates to assess their strengths and limitations
Present best-qualified candidates to client/search committee

Consideration/Selection

  • Work with the client to schedule and orchestrate candidate interviews, constantly consulting with the client and candidates throughout the process

  • Narrow the diverse candidate pool from first round interviews, to second round interviews and eventually to finalists

  • Conduct reference checks on successful candidates

  • Facilitate offer, negotiation and acceptance

  • Follow up with placement and client over the course of first year for successful onboarding and transition
